In Mental Health Center held a training on organizing psychological assistance in the regions. The training was attended by psychologists, psychiatrists, speech therapists operating in cities such as Sumgayit, Ganja, Mingachevir, Sheki, Guba, Lankaran, Shirvan. Doctors and psychologists of our Center made presentations on the organization of psychological assistance, as well as mental illness and about modern methods of treatment of the rehabilitation programs.

The Center for Mental Health of the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan has held a conference to mark World Mental Health Day. The conference was attended by officials of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Justice, representatives of the WHO Regional Office, as well as the management and staff of CDC. At the conference, it was noted that in 2016 the Ministry of Health in major medical institutions open staff psychologist.

At the event, director of CDC Fuad Ismayilov spoke on RAPİD model of primary psychological care. Deputy Director Rustam Salayev presented to the participants of the event information on the policies of the Lisbon University mental health, psychiatrist Ikram Rustamov on the participation of the Harvard curriculum on mental health, Aygun Sultanova made a presentation about the new methodological guide for a psychological examination.

   The National Mental Health Center successfully conducts various trainings for mental health professionals. The specialists working in healthcare system as well as the representatives from other organizations benefit from these trainings.  The trainings on First Psychological Aid provided for rescue teams of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are an example of this activity. The trainings are given on regular basis and at the moment more than 40 workers of the Ministry have participated in these trainings.
